It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Fann Hayes of Clayton, North Carolina, who passed away on August 14, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Brooks Baker and Lessie Barbour Baker; her siblings, Bill Baker and Faye Spicer; and her siblings-in-law, Jerry Glenn Hayes and Shirley Hayes Jones.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Sherwood Hayes; her son J. P. Renfrow Jr. (Courtney) of Clayton; her grandchildren, James Preston Renfrow and Emma Grace Renfrow; and her nieces and nephews, Carmen Spicer, William Spicer (Beverly), Gordon Spicer, Randy Baker and Tonya Zucker (David).
