He was predeceased by: his parents, Battle Moore and Claudia Mitchell Robertson. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Avera Robertson; his siblings, John B. Robertson and Grace R. Harrill; his nephew Batt Robertson; his children, Betty Goodwin (Jim) of Henderson and John W. Robertson (Donna Austin) of Washington; his grandchildren, James Goodwin (Fagan), Caroline Wilson (Andrew) and Mary Elizabeth Robertson (Clark Taylor); his great grandchildren, Avery, Cole Wilson and Sam Goodwin; and his friends, Malinda McAllister, Emma Moore, Anthony Jones, Mike Noonkester, Doug Ellis and Ruby Atchison.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sam's name to his beloved Horne Memorial United Methodist Church 121 East Second Street, Clayton, NC 27520 or to a charity of your choice.
