He was predeceased by: his parents, S. B. Taylor (Patricia) and Juanita Smith; his son Joe Taylor; and his siblings, Wayne Taylor, Jiggs Taylor, Stacey Taylor and Joan Miller.
He is survived by: his significant other Dorothy; his children, Vance Taylor (Sherry) of Benson, Roy Taylor Jr. of Goldsboro, Jason Taylor (April) of Clayton, Sam Taylor of Dunn, Amanda Donovan of Jacksonville and Travis Taylor of Fayetteville; and his grandsons, Cody Taylor, Dakota Taylor, Khristian Hopkins, Jesse Taylor, Brayden Taylor, Honorary Pallbearers, Luke Taylor and Jackson Taylor. He is also survived by his 27 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, along with many friends.
