He was predeceased by: his parents, William Leslie and Gertrude Lee Parnell; his siblings, Billy, Charles, Dale Parnell, Helen Suggs and JoAnn Willard; and his granddaughter Shelby Greene.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Parnell; his children, Phil Parnell (Jana) of Benson, Lisa Moore (Ricky) of Angier and Sheri Greene (Jeff) of Angier; the mother of his children Jeanette McLean; his grandchildren, Leslie, Jonathan, Aaron, Amanda, Mitchell, Madison, Olivia, Crystal and Caroline; and his sister Linda L. Parnell of Dunn. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
