She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilford Gay and Mary Rose Gay; her grandparents, Jerry, Lillian Dupree, Iolcust and Ruby Gay; and her brother-in-law Daniel Jeffares.

She is survived by: her siblings, Lynn Jeffares, Will Gay (Susan) and Jim Gay (Rita); her niece Tabitha (Jason); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ashlynn, Blake and Cole; and her nephews, Timothy and Tommy.
