He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edgar Bodo Otto and Susan Jane Bryant; his daughters, Betty Sue Woodall (Eugene) of Smithfield, Patricia Godwin of Kenly, Connie Barton (Billy) of Clayton and Rita Jones of Clayton; his wife Mavis; and his son-in-law Calvin Godwin. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SECU Hospice House in Smithfield or the Wilson's Mills Fire Department.
