She was predeceased by: her parent Dock Pharoh; her husband George Leemon Batten of Clayton, NC; her former husband Noggie Smith of Goldsboro, NC.; her son Clifford Boyd Batten of Clayton, NC; and her siblings, Robert Jones, Roy Jones, Charlie Jones, Gilda Pittman, Marie Pittman and Annette Jones.
She is survived by: her parent Launa Phillips Jones; her siblings, Lorrain Davis of Kenly, NC and George Jones of Laurel, MD.; her child George L. Batten, Jr.; her wife Kathy O'Connor Batten of Madison, GA; her daughter Deborah Batten Lesher (Dean) of Saint Johns, FL.; her grandchildren, Brigid Batten Bollweg (Nick Bollweg) of Atlanta, GA, Kathleen Batten Wheeler (Patrick Wheeler) of Tokyo, Jason Batten of Atlanta, GA, Reilly Batten of Marietta, GA, Jennifer Carol Beer (Cesar Pilco-Romero) of Tarija, South America, Cathy Beer Terry (David Terry) of Syracuse, NY and Christopher Beer of Chambersburg, PA.; and her great grandchildren, Evangeline Bollweg, Jackson Wheeler, Logan Wheeler, Breanna Beer, Cesar, Gabriel and Soraya Pilco-Beer.
