He is survived by: his mother Joan Rose Scheimann (Jones) of Selma; his wife Sherry Truitt of Clayton, NC; his children, Michaell Truitt III of Clayton, NC, Nathan Truitt of Clayton, NC and Monica Garner Manzer of Elizabeth City, NC; his sister Teresa Lynn Wilson of Lebanon, TN; and his grandson Sterling Manzer.
