It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Joyce Barwick Esancy (Clayton, North Carolina), who passed away on February 9, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Barwick, Sr. and Gladys Broughton Barwick; her spouse Herman Esancy; her daughter Rebecca E. Smith; her son-in-law Worth "Red" Jordan; and her siblings, Oscar Barwick Jr., Estelle Eunice Barwick Chalk, Braxton Banks Barwick and Irma Jean Barwick Rowe.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Jordan of Clayton, NC, Braxton Esancy (Karen) of Lithia Springs, GA and Bruce Esancy (Gayle) of Liberty, SC; her grandchildren, Wesley Jordan of Jennifer Keith, Cory, Bethany Holliday (Randal) and Nick Esancy; her great grandchildren, Madison Holliday, Caleb Holliday, Jayden Holliday, Jacob Esancy, Blane Keith, River Esancy and Herman Esancy of Clayton, NC.; and her friend Rebecca Harrington Terry of Washington, NC.. She is also survived by three children.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Mary Joyce's memory to the Disabled American Veterans.
