She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Herman Vinson and Lessie Jones Vinson; her husband Richard Woodard; her son Gearry "Loomis" Woodard; and her siblings, Doris Vinson Mitchiner Parker, Joyce Vinson Lipscomb Canady, John Arch Vinson and James Thomas Vinson.

She is survived by: her children, Richard "Dickie" Vinson Woodard (Barbara) of Eagle Rock, VA, Valerie Woodard Dupree (Danny) of Clayton and Barry Brian Woodard (Jan) of Clayton; her grandchildren, Katherine Dabney Morris (Mike) of Richmond, VA., Richard Gordon Woodard of Richmond, VA. and James Peyton Woodard (McKenzie) of Richmond, VA.; her sister-in-law Polly Dixon Vinson; and her friends, Bonnie McCormac, Anita Boylan, Lisa Gardner, Gwen Holden, Rose Wilkinson, Lacine Jones and Bernice Jones. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friends.

She strongly supported The Harbor Foundation for battered and abused women and was awarded as an Honorary Lifetime member ofthe Clayton Woman's Club.
