He is survived by: his siblings, Earl Eakes, Jr. (Patsy) of Mt. Airy, Joy Mercer (Art) of Clayton and David Eakes of Garner; his nieces, Angela Henderson (Patrick), Kristen Johnson (Mark) and Cynthia Pinkston; his great-nieces, Christa Mercer, Alivia, Avery, Aleah and Ardyn Johnson; and also, Hazley and Bristol Cook.
