She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie H. Lassiter and Helen Askew Lassiter; her husband Carlton Robert Morris; her sons, Carlton Robert Morris, Jr. and Wayne Morris; and her siblings, Macy Shay, Joy Moseley, Jewel Lee Whitley, Patricia Nethery and Buddy Gay.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Sullivan (Donald) of Winterville and Robbie Morris (Kathi) of Raleigh; her sister Syliva "Tink" Winstead; her grandchildren, April White (Brad), Heather Sullivan, Harrison Morris and Maglen Morris; and her great grandchild Hannah Kate White.
