With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lynwood Harding Van Hoy (Clayton, North Carolina), who passed away on February 20, 2025 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father George Harding Van Hoy. He is survived by: his wife Sharon J. Van Hoy; his sons, Andrew H. Van Hoy (Abby) of Four Oaks and Austin M. Van Hoy (Alyssa); his grandchild Westin of Smithfield; his stepdaughter Rebecca J. Charles (Nolan) of Clayton; his mother Louise P. Van Hoy of Clayton; his grandchildren, Emma Bonner, Joseph Van Hoy and Dawson Charles; his sisters, Cyndy Van Hoy of Pelham and Wyndy Dudley (Greg) of Clayton; his mother-in-law Rosa Johnson of Smithfield; his brother-in-law Phillip Johnson (Christine) of Garner; and his former wife Lucinda J. Van Hoy of Four Oaks. He is also survived by many loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and caretakers.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home (12830 US 70 Business Hwy W, Clayton, NC 27520). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
