She is survived by: her son David Scott Childress (Tammy); her grandsons, Brandon Scott Childress and Spencer Nathan Childress; and her sisters, Helen Dabbs of Raleigh, Ester Peterson of Four Oaks and Kathy Mansell of Selma.
