He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Smith and Madie Wilkins Smith; his wife Peggy Wallace Smith; his daughter Wendy Langdon; and his siblings, Woodie, Plumie, Wade, Geneva, Malcolm, Marvin, Hazel, Elza, Bundy, David and Grady.
He is survived by: his sons, LeRoy Smith, Jr. (Lynne) of Currie and Mark Smith (Tina) of Clayton; his grandchildren, Matthew Smith (John), Jessica Smith, Alex Smith (Shannon) and Jonathan Smith; and his great grandchildren, Easton and Grayson Smith.
