It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lamari Horton of Clayton, North Carolina, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on July 28, 2023, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Horton and Linda Horton; and his grandparents, James, Florence Hawkins, Percy and Edith Horton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kamili Francis of Killeen, TX and Keona Francis of Fairburn, GA; his fiancé Natarsha Harris of Clayton, NC; his siblings, Shomari Horton (Rolanda) of Newport News, VA and Latarra Freeman (Cader) of Carrollton, VA; his nieces and nephews, Amari Freeman of Carrollton, VA, Brandon Freeman of Killeen, TX, Amani Johnson of Newport News, VA., Keani, Kennedy Freeman of Carrollton, VA and Anjel Johnson of Newport News, VA; and his great-nephew Asai Freeman of Carrollton, VA. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, special cousins, and numerous friends.
