It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Edwin Capps of Clayton, North Carolina, who passed away on August 27, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Capps and Stella Capps; and his brothers, Raymond Capps and Sherrill Capps. He is survived by: his wife Ilse; his daughter Heidi Capps Wood (Brent); his grandchildren, Caitlin Wood (Sana Suliman) and Meredith Wood (Tim Bizzell); his daughter Stephanie Beasley (Bryan Beasley); his grandchildren, Randall Beasley Jr. and Emily Beasley; his siblings, Jerry Capps (Mary), Grace Hamilton, Tillie Wood (Steve) and Lillie Capps; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Joyce Capps and Mary Rozella Capps. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
