We are sad to announce that on May 16, 2023, at the age of 79, Johnny Mack Blalock (Clayton, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacy Blalock and Virginia Stephens Blalock; his siblings, Elsie Haninger, Jim Blalock, George Blalock and Roger Blalock; his stepson Tim Coats; and his stepson-in-law David Penny.

He is survived by: his wife Gladys Blalock; his son Brian Dean (Dorothy); his stepchildren, Terry Coats (Julie) and Teresa Penny; his stepdaughter-in-law Nell Coats; his siblings, Alice Medlin and Jerry Blalock; his sister-in-law Karen Blalock; and his grandchildren, Penny Whitley (Lance), Allen Coats, Beth Bass (Les), Shelly, Brook and Abigail Dean. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and family.
