He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Spence Harper and B. A. Harper; his siblings, J. B. Harper, Jerlene Harper Bagley, Alene Harper Holland and Mary Harper Evans; his daughter-in-law Danielle Harper; and his granddaughter Micayla Jo Harper.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Wise Harper; his son Chris; his daughter-in-law Andrea Harper of Selma; his daughter Sonya; his son-in-law Dave Mulhollem of Archer Lodge; his daughter Tonya; his son-in-law Kevin Green of Archer Lodge; his grandchildren, Tyler, Travis, Tucker, Tallan Green, Dylan, Macy Mulhollem, Levi, Emma, John Luke Harper and Ruben Santiago; and his sisters, Frances Barbour, Martha Gilmore and Chewy Grace.
