Jessie Thigpen Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 6, 2020, at the age of 88, Jessie Thigpen of Clayton, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Jessie is survived by: children, Renita Calhoun of Clayton, NC, DC of Washington, Dwan Thigpen, Selwyn Thigpen, LaGrange, Charlton Stukes and Fort, MD of Washington; and siblings, Parthenia Suggs (John) of Clayton, NC, Shirley Bass, Bettie Williams (Otis) and Thomas W. Hood, Jr. (Ruby). Jessie is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Due to COVID-19, the Governor of North Carolina has asked that all gatherings be limited to no more than 30 people including staff and all attendees such as clergy, ushers, musicians etc.
