He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivey Leo Jackson and Hazel Amelia Barbour Jackson; and his siblings, Denwood Jackson, Linda Jackson Graham and Judy Jackson Aycock.
He is survived by: his wife Gale Edwards Jackson of Clayton; his daughter Barbara Michele Jackson Benson (Brent) of Clayton; his siblings, Elmer Jackson (Margaret) of Princeton and Kaye Stewart of Dunn; his granddaughter Miranda Harper Cooper (Chase) of Princeton; and his great grandchild Brynlee Kate Cooper of Princeton.
Jerry retired with forty-four years with Coca-Cola Inc, where he also went back to work after a kidney transplant donated by his oldest brother, Elmer Jackson.
