She was predeceased by: her parents, Zackary Dennis and Nancy Edwards Dennis; her husband Billie Clifton Whaley; her children, Clifton Lee Whaley and Brenda Griffin; and her grandchildren, Pebbles Griffin, Earnest Dixon, Jimmy Dixon and Zachary Whaley.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Smollen (Joel) of Clayton, Bill Whaley (April) of Franklinton and Ashley Whaley (Amy) of Zebulon; and her sisters, Ruth Mae Miller of Atlanta and Joyce Adams of Greenville. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grand children and 7 great-great grand children.
