She was predeceased by: her parents, Rowland Turner and Nellie Pounds Turner; her son Michael Murray; her grandson Byrone Murray; her daughter-in-law Sheree Patterson Murray; and her brother Eugene Turner (D. J. Murray).

She is survived by: her son Chris D. Murray; her sisters, Mary Ann Rhodes, Arlene Hassell and Shirley Coble; and her grandchildren, Amanda Arnold (Matt), Nina Duff (Tyler), Joey Murray (Janie), Jason Murray and Jeremy Murray. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.
