She was predeceased by: her parents, Donnie Lamm and Gertie Lamm of Wilson, NC; her brother Douglas Lamm; her son James Robert Jr.; and her grandson Matthew Brannan.
She is survived by: her husband James R. Smith; her children, Angela Gardner (David), Sonja Brannan (Jeffrey), Steven Smith (Patricia) and Kenneth Smith; her siblings, Louise Harrell, Nettie Mae Durham, Betty Hurley, Tommy Lamm and Ricky Lamm; her grandchildren, April (Brian), Nicole (Jeffrey), Blake, Anthony, Joshua, Justin, Autumn (Jesse) and Jeremy; and her great grandchildren, Anna Lauren, Carrson, Mason and Aubrey.
