He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Helen M. Stanley; his wife Swannie Bell Edwards; his children, Stephen Frederick (Gloria), William Frederick (Cathy), Jacqueline Caldwell (Lynn), Deborah Sims (Michael), Lavern Peele (James), Lynette Smith (Robin) and James M. Stanley; his stepdaughter Glenda McGuire; his brothers, William (Dewey) and Richard E. Stanley (Sadie); and his sisters-in-law, Mae Stanley and Faye Stanley. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews other relatives and many, many dear friends.
