King (Kelly) of Clayton and Jerri Louise Schoeck (Ned Schoeck) of Omaha, Neb; his sister Ridgely King Copland of Charles City; his grandchildren, Brandon Taylor King, Jordon Thomas King, Edward Payton Schoeck and Trisha Meagher; his great grandchildren, Luke, Meager and Felicity Meagher; his nieces, Carolyn Copland Haupt (Henry) and Mary Copland Davis (Curtis); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Christian and Jack.

“Jim was a wonderful mentor & friend. I worked for Jim from 1982- 1990. I moved away & we hadn’t spoken since for no other reason than ‘life got in the way’ and took us in different directions. March 9th ‘22, Jim found me, called & left me a message. Sadly, I didn’t retrieve that message for over a month. I called him back to have that 32 yr, overdue conversation only to learn that I waited too long & he left too soon- just 10 days later. I am heart broken. My condolences to his family. - Lee W.”
