It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Everett Barbee (Clayton, North Carolina), who passed away on December 28, 2021, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father George Barbee; and his mother-in-law Mary Foster Butcher. He is survived by: his mother Sue Barbee; his wife Mary Anna Butcher Barbee; his daughters, Kayla Driver (Adam) and Rachel Barbee; his grandchildren, James and Charlotte Driver; his parents-in-law, Jack and Connie Butcher; his siblings, George Barbee (Robbie), Tammy Morgan (Martin) and Mary "Janie" Shaw (Ken); and his siblings-in-law, Sondra DeVaney, Robert Butcher (Kristy), Brian Lawson (Heather) and Wesley Lawson (Marsha). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St Ann's Catholic Church in Clayton NC.

“We are so sorry for you loss. JIm was out friend and counselor for over 13 years. He helped raise my 3 grandchildren. We found his advise and counselling so heloful and it helped me to maintain some sort of strengh to stay on track for my son and him 3 childrem. He also helped me with grief counselling for my youndest son who passed when he was 29. I thanked God most everyday for his friendship. I have a baby blanket to get to yoiu for the new baby. So sorry. Bev Carpenter”
