He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Guy Ghormley and Nettie Carmen Foley Ghormley; and his wife Billie Sue Smith Ghormley. He is survived by: his children, Jodie Short (Christopher) of Archer Lodge, NC, David Charles Phillips of Winter Park, FL and James Paul Ghromley of Palm Coast, FL; his grandchildren, Melissa Horan Simmons (Rye), Jennifer Horan (Chris), Thomas Short (Judy), Tyler Ghormley, Melinda Phillips and Matthew Phillips; and his great grandchildren, Jadon Simmons, Jaxon Freeman, Jerzie Freeman, Jacob Simmons, Abraham Smith, Annelyn Phillips, Ellie Ghormley and Micaiah Short.
