She was predeceased by: her parents, Obie Jackson Blue and Emma Gates Blue; her son Jeffrey "Dan" Simmons; and her siblings, Belva Harris, Vernon Blue, Clayborn Blue, Henry Blue and Preston Blue.

She is survived by: her husband Raymond H. Simmons; her children, Stephen Ray Simmons (Lisa), Phillip Hartwell Simmons (Julie), David Keith Simmons (Beverly) and Alysia S. Wilkins (Daryn); her grandchildren, Lexi Simmons, Justin Simmons (Cammy), Lindsey Simmons (Jeffrey), Brandon Simmons (Corall), Ryan Simmons, Tyler Simmons (Sami), Levi Clark, Vanessa Simmons, Ailey Simmons, Jonathan Wilkins and Stephen Wilkins (Alyne); her siblings, Edward Daniel Blue (Betty Lou) and Adelle Blue Faulkner; and her friends, Steve and Lisa Simmons. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
