She is survived by: her children, John Wesley Blackmon, Jr. of Asheville, NC and Felicia Murrell (Douglas) of Albuquerque, NM; and her siblings, Veronica Stagers of Benson, NC, Beverly Rosenberry (Theodore) of Philadelphia, PA, Cindy Sanders of Garner, NC, Michael Ray (Tony), DC of Washington and Michael Alford (Evelma) of Savannah, GA. She is also survived by six grandchildren; one great grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Due to COVID-19, the Governor of North Carolina has asked that all gatherings be limited.
