It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glenda Faye Smith of Clayton, North Carolina, who passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lewis and Maggie Locklear Chavis; and her siblings, Barbara Chavis Wright, James Earl Chavis, Robert Ray Chavis and Jerry "Nick" Patrick Chavis.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Hicks (Ken) of Clayton and Christopher Smith of Charlotte; her siblings, Patricia Jacobs of Laurinburg and Randolph Chavis; her grandchildren, Kimber Hicks and Kyle Rains; and her great grandchildren, Payton Moore, Carter Moore, Easton Moore and Kehlani Rains.
