She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Cecilia Jean Briggs and Robert R. Williams; her brother Robert B. Williams; her husband Donald S. Bennett; her children, Tammy K. Bennett of Raleigh and Daniel S. Bennett (Cordelia Warden) of Clayton, NC; her sisters, Rosemary Fitzsimmons, Viva Ellis (John) and Kathy Thompson Kimball; and her grandchildren, Kyle Zuza, Joshua Boazman, Kayla Stanley (Kaile), Kailey Hart, Katelyn Bennett, Devon Bennett, Krysta Hammonds, Dylan Bennett and Ariel Bennett. She was also cherished by nine great-grandchildren.
