He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Byrd; his children, Sharlene Gannon and Charles Byrd (Jodie); and his siblings, Gene Byrd (Edna), James Byrd, Bill Byrd (Joan), Johnny Byrd, Topsy Frisbee and Frances Buchanan (Bob). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 nieces and nephews.
