She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Dewey and Sudie McVickers O'Brien; her husband Woodson "Buddy" Alonzo Pounds; and her siblings, David O'Brien, Robert O'Brien, Johnny O'Brien, Frances Alvanze, Gertrude O'Brien, William O'Brien, Velma Adams, Tom O'Brien, James O'Brien and Buddy O'Brien.
She is survived by: her sons, Ernie Pounds of Raleigh and Tommy Pounds (Wendy) of Archer Lodge; her granddaughter Emily; and her siblings, Mike O'Brien (Mary Lou) and Tootsie Gorski of Clayton.
