With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna Catherine Smith of Clayton, North Carolina, who passed away on February 15, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, R. Alpine Cain and Bessie Rice Cain; her husband Cecil Smith; and her daughter Cathy Smith. She is survived by: her children, Alan Smith (Connie) of Dickson, TN and Mary Leah Kiser (Daniel) of Clayton; her grandchildren, Justin Smith, Jessica Freeman (Eric), Stephen Kiser and Sarah Kiser; and her sisters, Roma Askea, Betty Blackman, Jolene Hopper and Betty Guy. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
