With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Britt Lee (Clayton, North Carolina), who passed away on September 22, 2019 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Karen Jo Henderson; her grandson Christopher Cody Winstead; her son-in-law Bill Henderson; and her siblings, Mamie Lee Spell, Clara Holland, Anne Bryant, Sherrill Britt and Carl Britt.

She is survived by: her husband James H. Lee; her children, George Gilbert Carr, Patricia Lee Gaskins (Danny), Barbara Lynn Winstead (Ernie) and Virginia Gray Turner (Manly); her stepchildren, Red Lee, Scott Lee, Terry Lee and Rebecca Robbins; and her brother John Britt. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren as well as several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
