It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Henry De La Porte (Clayton, North Carolina), born in Croghan, New York, who passed away on September 15, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold DeLaPorte and Marion DeLaPorte; and his wife Shirley DeLaPorte. He is survived by: his children, Denise DeLaPorte of Smithfiled and Stephen DeLaPorte (Deborah) of Smithfield; his brother Richard DeLaPorte (Sabina) of Massena, NY; his close friend Margie White of Garner; his stepgranddaughters, Darlene Skinner (Berry) and Missy Hodges (Patrick); and his stepgreat-grandson Brooks Skinner.
