He was predeceased by: his daughter Sylvia Lanier; and his brother Charles Larry Holland. He is survived by: his wife Alene Harper Holland; his children, Aaron Johnson (Melody) of Clayton, Gail Honeycutt (Bennie) of Raleigh, Faye Wilson (Jim) of Wake Forest, Sherrie Johnson (Allen) of Knightdale and Gwendolyn Holland of Hollywood, FL; his siblings, Judy Holland of Knightdale and Jerry Holland of Benson; and his close friend Heartstrings "Strings". He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and his beloved pet.
