She was predeceased by: her husband John Carter, Jr.; and her siblings, Hazel Hall, Esther Ellis, Florence Ellis and Durwood Pulley of Talmage Pulley, J. B.
She is survived by: her sons, Linwood Carter of Garner, Jerry Carter of Raleigh and Larry Carter (Kim) of Clayton. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
