She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Carroll and Frances Horton Carroll. She is survived by: her husband Charles "Chuck" Barden, III; her sons, Charles Clayton Barden (Susan) and Jacob Matthew Barden; her siblings, Tommy Carroll (Terri), Paulette Farmer (Shane) and Amanda Lowe (Rich); her grandchildren, Claire, Trinity, Zealin, Jade, Devin and Kalani; her stepgrandson Aaron; her great grandchild Benjamin; and her brother-in-law Danny Barden (Lucy).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's name should be made to the Johnston County Music Association 116 Blande Dr. Kenly, NC 27542 or to a charity of one's choice.
