She was predeceased by: her daughter-in-law Terri Allen. She is survived by: her children, Gwen A. Canady (Steve) and Rudolph F. Allen, Jr.; her grandchildren, James Allen Canady (Elizabeth) of Morehead City, Stephanie Canady Parker (Jake) of Clayton, Alexandria Allen and Daniel of New Bern; her great grandchildren, Reese Allen of Morehead City, Sadie Cora of Morehead City, Rosa Caroline of Morehead City, Nellie Pearl of Morehead City, Eliza James of Morehead City, Jac Faircloth Canady of Morehead City, Bennett Alan Moore of Morehead City, Belle Frances and Annie James Parker of Clayton; and her siblings, Jean Byrd Lee of Clayton and Charles Byrd (Faye) of Carthage.
