She was predeceased by: her parents, Bobby Jennings Godwin and Pearlie Mae Eason Godwin; her husband Bobby Lynn Lee; her granddaughter Dreamer Elysia Godwin; and her sister Jean Godwin Wilkins.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Anthony Godwin (Heather Godwin), Rodney Travis Mitchell (Jackie Mitchell) and Andrea Brook Godwin; her grandchildren, Samantha Gayle Davis (Brad Davis), Joshua Caleb Mitchell, Kristin Nichole Mitchell (Tammy Mitchell), Allen Jordan Godwin, Jonathan Wayne Mitchell (Patricia Mitchell) and Jeremy Taylor Godwin (Olivia Godwin); her great grandchildren, Juliana Rae Mitchell and Adam Orion Godwin; and her sister Brenda Godwin Sullivan (Larry Sullivan). She is also survived by Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home (12830 US 70 Business Hwy W, Clayton, NC 27520). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
