With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Ann Harrod of Clayton, North Carolina, born in Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on January 19, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Mercer and Charlie Mercer; her brother Wayne Mercer; her sister-in-law Georgia Mercer; and her granddaughter Casie Thompson.

She is survived by: her sons, Keith McLamb of Fayetteville, Craig Thompson of Thomasville and Brad Madden (Stephanie) of Mesa, Arizona; her siblings, Jack Mercer of Kinston and Glenda Stainback of Kinston; her grandchildren, Melodie McLamb, Matthew McLamb, Mindy McLamb and Adam Thompson (Lindsay); her great grandchildren, Aubree, Madison and Bennett Thompson; and her niece Karen Mercer Foss (Bob) of Kinston.
