She was predeceased by: her brother Arthur Cameron Mercer, III; her grandparents, Earl, Polly Eakes, Cameron and Lena Mercer; and her uncles, Allen Stewart, Mike Mercer and Mark Eakes.

She is survived by: her parents, Arthur Cameron Mercer, Jr. and Joy Eakes Mercer; her daughter Christa Joy Mercer; her grandchildren, Hazley and Scottie Lane Cook; her sister Kristen Mercer Johnson; her brother-in-law Mark Johnson; her nieces, Alivia, Avery, Aleah and Ardyn Johnson; her aunts and uncles, Sandra Stewart, Earl, Patty Eakes and David Eakes; and her cousins, Sherri Garver, Ricky Stewart and Cynthia Pinkston.

In addition to flowers, memorials may be made in Angel's memory to: Hocutt Baptist Church, Clayton, North Carolina.
