It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Gathers (Clarkton, North Carolina), who passed away on October 15, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Mary Gathers; his daughters, Deborah Brown of Norfolk, Patricia Gathers of Elizabethtown, NC, Nancy Gathers-Pierson of Portsmouth and Pamella Gathers of Elizabethtown, NC; and his sister Faye Drummond of Elizabethtown, NC. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
