She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Ezzell and Clara; her husband Johnny R. Powell; her son Billy Tillman Powell; and her sisters, Mattie Packer, Bessie Wells and Lessie Blackmon.
She is survived by: her children, Lewis Ray Powell of Arkansas and Henrietta Herring of Clarkton. She is also survived by four grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
