He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Garvis, Lucille Hood, Joe and Mary Starnes; and his father George Hood.
He is survived by: his mother Rosa Lee Atkins; his stepfather Jack Atkins; and his siblings, Tony Hood (Melissa) of Clarkton, Patricia Smith (Scott) of Elizabethtown and Kristi Thorton (Ryan) of Elizabethtown. He is also survived by six nephews, one niece, and one great nephew.
