Rachel Jane Turner Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 6, 2022, at the age of 84, Rachel Jane Turner of Clarkton, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Edwards and Minta Blackwell Edwards; her husband Reverend Franklin "Frank" Harry Turner; and her children, Reverend Ronnie Franklin Turner and Gloria Turner Childress.
She is survived by: her daughter Theresa Turner Clifton (Dennis) of Clarkton; her children-in-law, Sam Childress of Little River, SC and Sandra Oliver Turner of Cleveland, TN; her sister-in-law Iris Turner Gunter of Charlotte; and her grandchildren, Cheryl Wilkerson, Kellie Gribble (Stephen), Erica Farmer (Matt), Michelle Turner, Taylor Childress, Dennis Clifton, II (Rachel), Daniel Clifton (Jenny) and Justin Clifton (Courtney). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gloria Childress WBHS Memorial Scholarship- 550 Whiteville Road, Shallotte, NC 28470.
