He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ellison Barnhill (JE) and Sarah Francis Callihan Barnhill; his sisters, Sandra Strickland and Gail Barnhill; and his granddaughter Danica Lee Cancil.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Robertson Barnhill; his daughters, Sarah "Jaymie" Cancil (Rick) of Washington State and Devon Barnhill of Hawaii; and his sister Robin Barnhill Beyer (Paul) of Clarkton. He is also survived by several grandchildren, and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
