He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Kizzy Florence Royal; and his wife Vera Rogers Royal. He is survived by: his children, Jim of Salisbury, Sue of Raleigh, N. C., Ashley (Beth) of Holden Beach, N. C. and Allan of Raleigh, N. C.. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and his six great grandchildren.
